I came across it again a few years ago when I was going through some of our old music and have enjoyed playing it again ever since. Thomas Winter was one of the main conspirators who, in 1605, attempted to blow up the House of Lords in the famous Gunpowder Plot. It was he who enlisted Guido (Guy) Fawkes when he was travelling in Flanders.
