Around the time of our album Foreign Land we had a fiddle player, Max Rankin, and he introduced the tune to me and wrote down the melody. Recently, I remembered the tune and researched the words that went with it. I regret now that we didn’t record it for the album as Max also played the Northumbrian Pipes which would have been ideal for this song. Never mind.
