Work in progress – Bonny at Morn

A traditional song from Northumberland. Around the time of our album Foreign Land we had a fiddle player, Max Rankin, and he introduced the tune to me and wrote down the melody. Recently, I remembered the tune and researched the words that went with it. I regret now that we didn’t record it for the album as Max also played the Northumbrian Pipes which would have been ideal for this song. Never mind. The song is now part of the band’s repertoire.
